Katy and Pete’s Tented Berkshires Wedding

Katy and Pete’s September celebration took place at Pine Cobble School, a short distance from Williams College where they met. Pine Cobble offers spectacular views of the Taconic Mountains and historic New England charm. Katy brought us on for wedding planning and coordination of the multitude of details that go into planning a fully off-premise wedding. Everything for this wedding had to be brought on site – from the bathrooms and generator to the cooking equipment and tenting. With all these details to face, Katy knew she’d rather be enjoying the weeks leading up to her wedding than tying up all the wedding planning details.

Katy and Pete are fun. Like, one of the most fun couples I’ve seen plan a wedding – which is no easy task. They promised their family and friends a great party – and they delivered. Their celebration was bright, easy-going, and uniquely THEM. I knew Katy and Pete were cool – but when Katy told me she wanted to walk down the aisle to a song from Beyonce’s Homecoming Live Album, I knew we’d be friends.

With a great vendor team in place and an epic rental installation by Classical Tents, the day approached. After a beautiful morning of clear-skied set up, the clouds rolled in. Just as the Katy and Pete and their bridal party arrived (followed shortly thereafter by all their guests) – you guessed it – the sky opened up hard.

A testament to her laid back nature, Katy didn’t flinch. She rolled with a last minute ceremony relocation (made possible only by the support of the rockstars at Hillside Organic Catering) and prepared to marry her best friend. Once the ceremony began, officiated by their dear friend Inan, the focus shifted to their love and the joy shared by their family and friends.

Katy and Pete’s wedding day was truly beautiful and truly hilarious. Some of the many highlights include epic water fountain photos (captured by the amazing EKRW Creative), a handmade cake by Pete’s mom, the Mariachi stylings of Fiesta Del Norte, temporary tattoos with Pete’s face and an EPIC dance party orchestrated by DJ Self Help.

We’re so grateful for the experience of joining in Katy and Pete’s joyous celebration. This event was brought together by a huge team of pros – and we’re pretty grateful for them, too! Congratulations Katy and Pete!
