Priya and Noel hosted an intimate wedding at their scenic Amherst, MA, home for fifty of their closest family and friends. I met Priya and Noel only thirty days before their wedding when they reached out in a bind. Their previous wedding planning contract had fallen through, and they needed help! With much to be done and very little time, the Aligned Events team jumped in to bring this sweet celebration to life.
I met Noel first and was completely struck by his presence. Calm, curious and intently focused on his upcoming marriage. When I met them both at their home to see the site and talk about their vision I realized how special they truly were. Their home and our conversation with speckled with references to spirituality, presence and the long journey of self-growth to find your beloved. It was clear they wanted this celebration to be rich with meaning and intimacy. Thankfully, they had already assembled a spectacular vendor team and so our work of transforming their home and grounds into a wedding venue began!
The extensive rentals were mapped out and installed by Jerome’s Party Plus. Their yard sloped and twisted behind the house, dotted with fruit trees and perennial beds. Midway along the path, the ceremony was positioned on one side, and the cocktail social (set under old apple trees lit by bistro lights) was situated on the other. At the bottom, the yard opened up into a tree-lined cove where the dining tent was positioned. Throughout the property, there were cozy vignettes of seating with vases of stunning summer floral by Sweethaven Farm and Floral.
For a couple focused on infusing meaning into their ceremony it was natural fit that they selected Grace Ceremonies to officiate their wedding. The ceremony was captivating and meaningful, broken up by bits of humor from Rev. Hannah, their daughter, Anna, and the jubilant guitar music from their dear friend, Charlie.
Following the ceremony, the cocktail social was kicked off by the amazing crew at Blue Door Gatherings. Summery signature cocktails and stunning cafe-au-lait dahlias reinforced the beautiful August sunshine. When it was time for dinner, guests were greeted by stunning tablescapes featuring ornate gold and crystal dining wares, local honey guest favors and natural beeswax candles.
Priya and Noel’s care and love for one another overflowed to their love for each of their guests and they took the time to visit and celebrate them all individually. They even took a moment to toast each of the vendors that brought the day together – last (but certainly not least) thanking Steph Stevens from Steph Stevens Photography for capturing the day so perfectly. From there the guests dined, danced and even played a little table tennis courtesy of tables from Zing Table Tennis (where Noel happens to be the owner).
We’re so glad that Priya and Noel found us and that we were able to be a part of a truly unique celebration. At Aligned Events, we talk a lot about presence and mindfulness on your wedding day, and Priya and Noel was a touching embodiment of those qualities. Congratulations Priya and Noel!
